We don't allow overdrafts and will never charge you fees for trying to withdraw or spend more than your current balance. If you try to spend more than your current balance, your transaction will be declined.

While Clair doesn’t allow overdrafts, it is possible for your Clair Spending Account balance to go negative. This can happen when a transaction is authorized at a certain amount and settled for a different amount. For example, if you paid for a hotel room for two nights but then decided to stay another day, your Spending Account balance could potentially go negative. If this happens to you, don’t worry! We will not charge you a fee for having a negative balance. Reach out to Clair Care to learn more about how to restore your balance.
